AUBURN – Rita I. (Levesque) Lussier, 83, of 200 Stetson Road, died Saturday, Sept. 24, at Seville Park Plaza with her loving family at her side, after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born in Fort Kent, Feb. 23, 1922, the daughter of Joseph and Marie Charette Dumond.
She was married to Lawrence Levesque, who predeceased her in 1967. In 1970, she married Normand A. Lussier, who predeceased her June 16.
She was a member of the Auburn Catholic Community at Sacred Heart Church and the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary of Andy Valley Council 8742.
Prior to her retirement, she was employed in food preparation at Hi-Style Caterers in New Auburn, and was an avid beano player.
She is survived by her children, Gary Levesque and wife, Dorothy, of Palmetto, Fla., Muriel Forrest and husband, Bill, of Choctaw, Okla., Ron Levesque and wife, Marta, of Northport, Fla., Roger Levesque and wife, Jill, of Ladson, S.C., Bernadette Farley and husband, Tim, of South Harpswell, Linda Prince and husband, Roger, of Auburn, Karen Auger and husband, Leo, of South Paris, Ray Levesque and wife, Vicki, of Auburn, and Nancy Lachance and husband, Don, of Tecumseh, Okla.; 25 grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Clarence Dumond and wife, Laurette, of Fort Kent, and Leonard Dumond and wife, Priscilla, of Chantilly, Va.
She was also predeceased by a sister, Ida Ouellette.
