WISCASSET – Raymond Favreau was surprised by his family at the Taste of Maine restaurant to celebrate his 90th birthday. The guest of honor was given two cakes, one made by daughter-in-law, Anna Favreau, using a special recipe, and many cards and gifts.
Favreau and his daughter and son-in-law recently relocated to Brunswick from Coconut Creek, Fla.
Favreau was born in Brunswick, the son of Telesphore and Mary Z. Schenk Favreau on Sept. 8, 1915. He married Gabrielle E. Menard on Oct. 15, 1938. She died February 24, 1999.
Members present during the celebration were children Dolores and Joe Fournier of Brunswick, Ben and Kathy Favreau of Bath, Bert and Anna Favreau of Topsham and Doris and Greg Herrick of Poland.
Also present were siblings Felix and Ruth Favreau of Topsham, Paul and Rose Favreau, Peter Favreau, Leo and Carol Favreau, and Dorothy Robinson and her companion, Tony Fortin, all of Brunswick.
Grandchildren who attended the party were Terry Fournier and Cathy Laprise of Lewiston, Tom and Holly Fournier of Bowdoin, Bert Favreau II of Bath, Debbie and Ross Nadeau of Topsham, Michael Favreau of New Hampshire, Jen Buckley of Westbrook, Alex and Brandon Favreau of Topsham; great-grandchildren, Samantha Favreau of Bath and Ryan and Julia Nadeau of Topsham.
In addition sisters-in-law Eugenie Lebourdais of Brunswick and Jane Menard of Topsham, and niece Mary Mahoney joined the festivities.
