ARLINGTON, Va. – Charles E. Curtis, retired master sergeant of the U.S. Air Force of Temple Hills, Md., died Sept. 22, after 45 years of selfless service to the U.S. Air Force, with hazardous overseas duty in Pakistan and Southeast Asia.

He is survived by his son, David Curtis of Fayetteville, N.C.; four brothers, George and his wife, Elaine, of Oxford, Harvey of Lancaster, N.H., Daniel and his wife, Linda, of Oxford, and Russell and his wife, Cynthia, of Bolsters Mill; two sisters, Marianne Fifield and her companion, Keith Swan, of Bryant Pond, and Geri and her husband, Ivan Smith, of Buckfield; and two grandchildren, Renee Elisse Curtis and Janelle Marie Curtis of Hudson, Mass.

He was predeceased by his parents, Richard and Ila of Oxford; and his brother, Richard Jr., of Oklahoma.
