INMAN, Kan. – Eleanor Walker Damon, 88, of Portland, died Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2005, at the home of her daughter in Kansas.
Born in Turner on April 14, 1917, the daughter of the late Wallace Dean and Angie Laura (Mower) Walker-Hodgkins, she lived in Portland since 1995, moving from West Poland.
She was a retired administrator in the Auburn public school system and a member of the State Street Church, UCC of Portland.
She was married to Paul William Damon on Aug. 8, 1942, in Tacoma, Wash.; he died on Jan. 23, 1990.
Survivors include a daughter, Paula D. Fletcher of Inman, Kan.; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband; and a son, Stephen W. Damon.
