GARDINER – Kelsey Pettengill kicked off a five-goal onslaught as Edward Little notched a 5-0 triumph over Gardiner on Tuesday afternoon.
Caitlyn St. Hilaire tallied the second goal for the Red Eddies (7-2) off a corner kick by Olivia Welch. Erin Cain scored on a penalty kick, while Lyndsey St. Hilaire and Ashley Gaylord each added a goal. Goalie Brittney French was not required to make a save.
The Tigers’ Lindsay Fortin stopped three shots.
Oxford Hills 1, Lewiston 1
SOUTH PARIS – The Oxford Hills and Lewiston girls’ soccer squads played to a 1-1 tie.
Kari Pelletier tallied with 11:23 remaining in the game for the Vikings (1-5-2), while Laura Martel scored in the first half for the Blue Devils (6-2-1).
Sam Rivers handled netkeeping duties for Oxford Hills, making eight saves. Katie Cobb turned away 10 shots in net for Lewiston.
Mt. Abram 2, Mountain Valley 0
SALEM – Loghan Walker and Jennifer Thomas both netted goals Tuesday as Mt. Abram defeated Mountain Valley 2-0 in a MVC girls’ soccer matchup.
Heather Hayes contributed for the Roadrunners (7-1-1) with an assist, while Brianna Wilkins made two saves in net to preserve the shutout.
Kari McPherson handled goalkeeping duties for the Falcons (1-6-2), turning back 14 shots. The two squads went scoreless through the first half before Walker brought things to life early in the second.
