WINSLOW – Tiffany Poland and Jessica Paladino each netted a goal and were credited with an assist to lead Leavitt to a 3-0 triumph over Winslow in field hockey action Tuesday.
Sarah Quimby rounded out the scoring for the Hornets (8-1).
Kristin Schrepper recorded three saves and Jessica Vickerson had one for Leavitt. Emma Walters turned away nine shots for Winslow.
York 7, Gray-NG 0
GRAY – Michaela Franey tallied three goals as York rolled past Gray-New Gloucester for a 7-0 victory in a WMC field hockey action.
Kortnee Cribby notched the first goal of the contest, and went on to assist on two other goals for York (5-1-2). Kirsten Weiner, Lauren Coupal, and Lucy Sargent each added a goal.
Brittany Barrett turned aside six shots for the Wildcats’ shutout. The Patriots (0-9) effort was paced by goaltender Samantha Bishop, who made 19 saves.
EL 1, Mt. Ararat 0 (OT)
TOPSHAM – Alli Forgues scored on a breakaway from a side-in by Kate Woodward 1:18 into overtime to lift Edward Little to a 1-0 victory over Mt. Ararat in a KVAC field hockey matchup Tuesday.
Mary Martin made six saves in net for the Red Eddies (4-5) to preserve the shutout.
Jenny Stephens handled netkeeping duties for the Eagles (1-7-0), turning back eight shots.
St. Dom’s 4, NYA 0
NORTH YARMOUTH – Elisha Dorso netted a pair of goals to pace St. Dom’s to a 4-0 victory over North Yarmouth Academy in a WMC field hockey matchup Tuesday.
Dorso also added an assist for the Saints (6-2), while Kayla McKay and Chelsea St. Onge tallied goals. Austyn Carolin needed only six saves in net to preserve the shutout.
Sarah Holden stopped 28 shots for the Panthers (3-4-1).
Brunswick 2, Oxf Hills 1
BRUNSWICK – Liz Eichinger tallied the game-winning goal 7:28 into the second-half to lift Brunswick to a 2-1 victory over Oxford Hills.
Eichinger picked up a pass from Katie Breifacher to notch the goal. Brittany Lemieux netted the first goal for the Dragons (5-4) off a pass from Faith Robinson. Keeper Sarah Lyman stopped eight shots for the win.
The lone goal for the Vikings (5-5) was tallied by Tia Pratt, with an assist from JoAnna Strong.
Oak Hill 1, Mt. View 0
THORNDIKE – Audrey Grass scored two minutes into overtime to give Oak Hill a 1-0 victory over Mt. View Tuesday.
The victory broke nearly a two year winless drought for the Raiders. Oak Hill broke out of it’s zone on a 4-on-1 breakaway. After the initial shot was stopped, Kayla Clark took the rebound and passed to Grass for the game-winning goal.
Frankie Curtis made 32 saves for the shutout.
