LEWISTON/AUBURN – The YMCA of Auburn-Lewiston and the YWCA of Central Maine are preparing to kick off the 2005-06 Twin Cities Swim Team season. The TCST Sea Lions are a co-ed swim team for kids ages 5 to 18.
Registration began Monday. Participants must register at both the YMCA and YWCA. The annual fall parents meeting is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 6 at 6:30 p.m. at the YMCA in Auburn.

MABC Fall Coaches Clinic is Oct. 7-8
WATERVILLE – The Maine Association of Basketball Coaches announces its season-opening coaches clinic on Friday, Oct. 7 and Saturday, Oct. 8 at Colby College.

18th annual Sunday River Summit Challenge
NEWRY – The 18th annual Sunday River Summit Challenge is scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 9 at 10 a.m.
Registration will take place on race day at the South Ridge Base Aera from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. You may also register online at www.active.com.
The event features a competitive 3-mile foot race or a non-competitive hike from the base area to the top of Locke Mountain. Participants receive a goodie bag, snacks and water.
Other events on the weekend include the North American Wife-Carrying Championship.
