RUMFORD – The SAD 43 board last week overwhelmingly voted to readmit a high school girl after a 20-minute closed session.
Superintendent Jim Hodgkin said Wednesday that the student had been expelled last year for distribution of illegal substances.
He said he was impressed with her hard work to keep up with her class while she was out of school.
“She was tutored all last year and did an unbelievable job. She did a lot of good work. She proved that she is serious about school,” he said.
