It’s fantastic that Thomas K. Wood will only be assigned to businesses; however, I’m not satisfied. Wood was convicted of two counts of unlawful sexual contact and now works as a revenue agent for the state.

During this whole ordeal, a vital detail has been overlooked. Regardless of the fact that Wood will not be entering a taxpayer’s home, he still has access to tools that make it possible to invade anyone’s privacy that he would not have in other accounting positions. As a revenue agent, Wood has access to credit reports, personal tax returns, motor vehicle records and Social Security information.

The fact that he can access all this personal information about me makes the hair on my neck stand up as quickly as it would if he were sitting at my kitchen table.
