LEEDS – Arthur Fish, 70, died Friday afternoon, Sept. 30, at his home on Sedgley Road, Leeds, surrounded by his family following a short illness.

He was born April 7, 1935, in Lewiston, the son of Wallace A. and Mary (Rose) Fish.

He was a 1953 graduate of Leavitt Institute in Turner.

On June 23, 1956, he married Connie Stevens of Auburn. They made their home and raised their family on the Fish Farm in Leeds, where Arthur worked as a farmer, working his last day on Aug. 18.

He also worked for a short time driving truck for B & A Trucking, and for several years he was a bus driver for S.A.D. #52.

He was a member of the Farm Bureau, and was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting. He loved going to his camp in the north woods of Langtown.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Connie, of Leeds; three sons, Stephen Fish and his wife, Lori, of North Turner; Wallace Fish and his wife, Wanda, of Leeds, and Stanley Fish and his companion, Karen Meader, of Leeds; a daughter, Lorraine Fish and her companion, Wendell Wright, of Leeds; three sisters, Laurel Gagne of Turner; Beatrice Morse and her husband, Laurance, of Livermore Falls, and Carol Harris and her husband, Dwight, of Greene; and four grandchildren, Christine, Nicole, Mikayla and Dylan Fish.

He was predeceased by his parents; and a granddaughter, Kaitlyn Fish.
