AUBURN – Ladies Workout Express will host a grand opening and health fair at One Great Falls Plaza on Friday through Sunday. This is its first Maine location.

The woman’s gym opened last month.

Organizers will offer blood-pressure screenings, glucose testing, massages and wellness checks. Also, in observance of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, health-care professionals will address ways to conduct self-exams.

The health fair will feature Nitro Fitness, Central Maine Medical Center, the American Red Cross, Shapeworks and Reliv. The event will be catered from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., and Cheryl Edwards will serve as master of ceremonies.

Ladies Workout Express is a full-service gym for women. It’s open 6 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. The gym is equipped with treadmills, ellipticals, recumbent bikes, core training balls, aerobic hula hoops, weights and other apparatus. The gym also offers a sauna, licensed massage therapists, personal training/coaching, and Weight Watchers.
