Two pilots crashed ultra-light planes in New Hampshire during the weekend – one near the airport in Gorham, the other in the ocean off Seabrook. Both survived.

Ronnie Dinardo, 53, of Gorham, walked away Sunday evening after engine trouble caused his ultralight to crash into bushes short of the runway at Gorham Airport. He was trying to glide in for a landing, but came up short.

In Seabrook, Nelson Buswell, 51, had the same problem. When his ultralight started having engine trouble late Sunday morning, he tried to glide to the beach, but hit the water about 100 yards off shore.

He swam to the beach where he was treated by fire department medics for a cut finger and exhaustion from his swim.
