To get an oil delivery of 250 gallons at a price of $2.499 per gallon would cost $624.75. For a delivery of only 100 gallons, the cost would be $249.90. That price of $2.499 per gallon is low, but I hope people get the point.
I’m sure that there are many people who do not have a plan which locks in the price for oil, for whatever reason. Needless to say, with those kinds of prices, many people will just not be able to afford to call for a delivery of even 100 gallons. During a good cold snap, 100 gallons might last only a week or two. How many people can come up with that kind of money?
We need to address the problem of having to buy a minimum of 100 gallons. Perhaps the minimum could be set at 50 gallons. I can understand the cost of having to make extra deliveries by the oil dealers, but I can also appreciate the fact that many hardworking, honest people are going to need some kind of relief or be in serious trouble.
This may seem like nonsense to some, but I’m not the only one who will have serious financial problems because of this issue.
