AUGUSTA – The Maine Children’s Alliance is seeking photographs of Maine children of all ages and backgrounds for the 2006 Maine KIDS COUNT Data Book.

Photographs selected will be those which best capture the essence of what it means to be a child in Maine. Professional and amateur photographers are invited to submit photographs for the Data Book that will be released on Feb. 28.

The annual Maine KIDS COUNT Data Book offers a statistical picture of how children and families are faring in Maine. Names of the photographers whose works are selected for publication will be credited in the published book and will also be available on the Web site of the Maine Children’s Alliance.
