I read about the Wendy’s “finger” case in the Sun Journal Sept. 10. What the two adults were doing was planting a finger in chili to sue Wendy’s. In this article, they both pleaded guilty. I am glad that they pleaded guilty because now they are going to be punished for what they did.
Although the people involved did one thing right by admitting to it, they shouldn’t have put the finger in the chili in the first place. It is amazing what people will do for money. Everyone is suing for any possible thing.
These people deserve to go to jail, I believe. They were just thinking of the money and not the effect that it would probably have on Wendy’s reputation.
It seems these people have a daughter. Imagine how she feels knowing what her mother and father did just to get money. She will have to wake up every morning for however many years and her mother and father will not be there. By them doing this, what message does it send to their daughter and other children?
