Supper canceled

WATERFORD – The Wilkins Community House potluck supper, scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 20, has been canceled due to previously scheduled floor maintenance. The first supper will take place on Thursday, Nov. 17.

Sunday service

NORWAY – The Sunday service for Oct. 16 at the First Universalist Church, Unitarian Universalist, 479 Main St., will be at 11 a.m. Child care will be provided as well as a religious education program for children.

Choir practice will be at 9:30 a.m. with Heather Pierson, music director. The service will be led by Joe Perham of the First Universalist Church of West Paris. His sermon title is “The Dignity of Man.” All are invited.

Bridge play

NORWAY – The Oxford Hills Bridge Club met Oct. 7 at the Fare Share Commons, Main Street.

Finishing first in Flight A were Beverly Pelletier and Paul Barber; second, Linda Leotsakos and Audrey Burns, who also finished first in Flight B; third, Luke Merry and Richard Balian. Finishing second in Flight B were Eleanor Griffin and Jim Dickens.
