Greene – A perfect fall day, and crowds of people is what fell to the lot of this place today, it being the occasion of the 8th annual town fair, held at the grange hall here.

It is something unusual to have good weather for this fair, and it would seem that the people not only of this place, but of the surrounding towns endeavored to make the most of this opportunity.

It is estimated that 800 people were in attendance, some put it at 1,000, but probably 800 would be nearer to the truth, anyway there was a crowd both in the hall and on the grounds all day.
