PORTLAND – Dorothy B. Fritz, 67, of Norway, died Wednesday, Oct. 12, at Maine Medical Center.

She was born in Lewiston on April 3, 1938, the daughter of John James and Helen Marguerite Hebbard Acorn. She attended school in Norway and received her C.N.A. certificate. In the early years, she worked in area nursing homes.

She married Clark N. Bryant on Oct. 26, 1955, and they spent many years on Thurlow Avenue in South Paris. They also raised dachshunds for 25 years. He passed away on June 21, 1992.

She worked in factories all of her life: B.E. Cole, Francine Shoe and Miller Shoe, and her last job was at Dead River in South Paris.

She married Eugene Fritz on April 30, 1994; he passed away on March 17, 1998.

She was a member of the NAFCA, Pine Tree Chapter 33 in Buckfield. She was an excellent cook, canning and making pickles. She loved to shop, do cross-stitch and puzzle books. Recently, she had a Siamese cat named Marvin.

She is survived by a daughter, Kathy McKeen and her husband, Steve, of Norway; a sister, Addie Landry and her husband, Albert, of Lewiston; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Evelyn and Donald “Brad” Piper of Norway; two nephews, John Fritz and his wife, Dawn, of Norway, and James Fritz of Auburn; and a great-nephew, Christopher Fritz.
