LEWISTON – The artwork of David A. Footer are being featured during October by the Woman’s Hospital Association of Central Maine Medical Center.
Footer’s paintings and artwork hang in many noted homes across the country.
He was instructed in the art of drawing and painting by Herb Welch, a famous artist and sportsmen’s guide from the Rangeley-Oquossoc area.
Footer did not stop his studies there; he made it his life-long pursuit to study the all-time greats, researching them and their works through the Lewiston Public Library and the Bates College Library. For more information, visit his Web site at www.davidafooter.com.
The woman’s association supports Central Maine Medical Center and its patients by promoting the health and welfare of the community and raising money to fund special projects. Those interested in membership in the association or the monthly artist showings, should call 795-2295.
