AUBURN – Ruth Emery Buzzell, 85, passed away on Oct. 11, at Clover Manor in Auburn, with her loving family by her side.
She was born on Jan. 12, 1920, in Waterville, a daughter of the late Walter L. and Eva Marie (Nickerson) Emery. She attended and graduated from Waterville High School, and later went on to work for the Osteopathic Hospital now known as Inland Hospital, and for C.F. Hathaway Shirt Co., until her retirement in 1980.
She was a member of the Brown Memorial Methodist Church in Clinton, a 50-year member of the Fireside Chapter O.E.S., and a member of the Fairfield Grover-Hinkley American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.
She had a great love for flowers and birds, though her greatest joy was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her son, Leslie E. Buzzell of Auburn; her two grandchildren, Sonya Lynn Caron and husband, John, of Lisbon Falls, and Derek Alan Buzzell of Buckfield; three great-grandchildren, John Mathew, Jason Patrick and Jala Lynn Caron; and her brother, Lloyd Emery of Connecticut.
She was predeceased by her parents; her loving husband, C. Ross Buzzell; two brothers, Richard L. Emery and Ralph Emery; and her two sisters, Violet Buzzell and Stella Jewett.
