LEWISTON – The Androscoggin County Republicans will meet at 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 17, in Room B of the Multi-Purpose Center on Birch Street

Guest speaker will be Peter Slovenski, author of “Old School America.” Slovenski is a graduate of Lewiston High School, class of 1974, and received his master’s degree in education from Stanford University in 1980. He has been the head coach of both the men’s and women’s track and field teams at Bowdoin since 1987.

“Old School America” articulates the principles of common sense and common culture with less emphasis on government programs.

Also on the agenda will be Nate Walton, chairman of the Maine College Republicans. There will also be a discussion about the caucus to be held in February 2006.

County Republicans are welcome to attend, and refreshments will be served.
