I am writing in regard to the upcoming vote on civil rights for gays, and allow me to stress the word civil and not special.

I find it ridiculous that Paul Madore, Michael Heath and the Maine Christian Civic League say that they fight this for moral and family values. The last time I checked, people of any faith are not to pass judgment on others simply because they go to church every Sunday.

God said, “Let he who is without sin cast the first stone.” Last time I knew, none of us is perfect, including MCCL and Paul Madore.

These people will not be rewarded for using lies and meanness, not to mention the hypocrisy. Maine should keep its civil rights law for gays.
