RUMFORD – Joe (Erwin) and Doris Gamble of Rumford celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Aug. 30. The couple has three daughters, three sons-in-law and three grandsons.
The couple celebrated the special event by spending a week in a beautiful cabin overlooking the ocean in Lincolnville, a gift from their family. They later gathered with their family for an anniversary dinner and renewal of their vows, performed by their youngest daughter, Donna, at the Village Inn.
Daughters Cheryl and Robyn stood up for their mother, and grandsons Brad, Adam and Joseph stood up for their grandfather. Sons-in-law Erik, Brad and Michael were in charge of the photography for the celebration.
The couple is retired and enjoy spending time with their family, going to the coast and just enjoying life to its fullest.
