TYSON, Vt. – The wedding of Anne Grenon and Jonathan Chernaik was held at 4 p.m. on Aug. 13 at the wishing well on the grounds of the Echo Lake Inn in Tyson, Vt. Anne O’Brien, friend and former colleague of the bride, officiated at the ceremony.

Mrs. Chernaik is the daughter of Peter Grenon and Constance St. Pierre of Ocala, Fla., formerly of Lewiston. Mr. Chernaik is the son of Stephen and Laura Chernaik of Glencoe, Ill.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore an ivory strapless A-line gown and carried a bouquet of ivory and purple roses and sweet pea.

Ruth Hook, a friend of the bride from college, served as maid of honor and bridesmaids were Cathy Boucher, cousin of the bride, and Vika Hinge and Alison Maynard, friends of the bride. Leah Fournier and Sara Hendershot, cousins of the bride, were flower girls.

Melissa Chernaik, sister of the bridegroom, was best woman and ushers were Lynsey Paxton, Gloria Zender and Tamar Fidel, friends of the bridegroom.

A reception followed at the Echo Lake Inn, after which the couple traveled on a cruise to Alaska.

The bride is a 1996 graduate of Lewiston High School and a 2000 graduate of Oberlin College. She is currently working on her master’s degree in library science at Syracuse University.

The bridegroom is a 1996 graduate of New Trier High School in Illinois and a 2000 graduate of Oberlin College. He is also a 2004 graduate of the New England Culinary Institute and is currently working as pastry chef at the Arad Evans Inn in Fayetteville, N.Y.
