LEWISTON – Cathy C. McKelway of Oakland has been named vice president and commercial loan officer for Northeast Bank’s Augusta market. She will work from Augusta and be responsible for commercial loan development and new commercial client relations.

McKelway joins the commercial sales team consisting of Van Perry in Lewiston and Timothy Dargan in Portland.

McKelway has more than 22 years of experience in banking and financial services. She worked for Merrill Lynch, Citibank of Maine, Pepperell Trust Co. and most recently, Mainestream Finance of Bangor. Her background includes a strong emphasis on community banking and development, and she’s held senior level positions in risk management, investment banking and commercial lending.

McKelway has been an instructor with the Camden Community College and the Entrepreneurial Training Institute teaching classes on becoming an entrepreneur.

She is a graduate of Barnard College in New York with a bachelor’s degree in arts and has additional training and licensing including her Series 7 and real estate licenses.

She lives in Oakland with her husband and daughter and is active in the community as the trustee and treasurer of the Maine Rural Development Corp.
