The Sun Journal editorial Oct. 10 claimed that Question 1 on the November ballot is not about “same-sex marriage.” Everyone, of course, knows that the law will force “same-sex marriage.”

The editorial did not point out that homosexuals in Maine are doing just fine. They are prospering, as they always have. Discreet gays used to prosper in our towns and villages. Now, loud and angry gays are prospering, also, while Christians are intimidated into silence.

The gospel and morality of Jesus Christ and the Bible are being stuffed into the closet while cross-dressers are now showing up at the State House to strut their stuff in front of school children.

I don’t know about others, but I’m going to join my good friend, Paul Madore, and vote yes on Question 1 Nov. 8.
