DIXFIELD – Jamie Virgin will perform at 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 22, at Dixfield Coffeehouse, Dixfield Congregational Church Annex, High Street. Admission is $5 at the door. Children under 12 are free.

Mystery night

RUMFORD – In celebration of the National Magic Week, the Society of American Magicians Chapter 174, in association with the Moontide Water Festival Inc., will present a Night of Mystery and Magic at the Mountain Valley High School Muskie Auditorium at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 23.

Eight magicians from around the state will be present. Scott Grassette is chapter president and Master of Ceremonies. Tickets will be on sale at the door for $10 for adults, $5 for children and children under age of 3, free.

Class lunch

RUMFORD – Members of the Stephens High School class of 1949 will meet for a monthly luncheon at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 26, at Teena’s Restaurant.

Circle to install

RUMFORD – St. Timothy Circle 504, Daughters of Isabella, will hold installation of new officers at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 26, in the St. Athanasius and St. John Church. A light lunch will follow in the church hall. State Regent Catherine Fagen will install the officers, assisted by Past Regent Irene Fagen.

Sharing meal

RUMFORD – The Widows or Widowers Sharing will meet for a potluck dinner at noon Thursday, Oct. 27, at the Rumford United Methodist Church, Linnell Street. The speaker will be Nancy Duguay of the Rumford Community Home. All widows and widowers are welcome.

Lunch speaker

WILTON – The Western Mountain Women’s Connection, the local branch of Christian Women’s Club International, is inviting men and women to a luncheon from 11:15 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 1, at the Boiler Room, Main Street.

Guest speakers and musicians Dixie and Ronald Westervelt will share a musical story of how they were rescued.

New date

DIXFIELD – Members of the Peru American Legion Post 199 announce there is a new meeting date and time taking effect in November. They will meet the fourth Sunday of the month at 6:30 p.m. Meetings will be held at Ellis’ Store for the winter. New ideas are being worked on to get the Legion working again.

Fundraiser

RUMFORD – The River Valley Christian School, Pine Street, will hold a Little Caesar’s fund-raiser from now to Nov. 4 to raise money for field trips.

Pizza kits and cookie dough tubs contain all the ingredients to bake pizza, bread and cookies at home in minutes.

Items range in price from $14 to $18 and River Valley Christian School will earn $5 for each item sold.

Delivery is scheduled for Nov. 14.
