CANTON – Ernest G. Cloutier, 63, of Mexico, died Wednesday evening, Oct. 19, at the Victorian Villa in Canton.

He was born on Sept. 12, 1942, in Rumford, a son of Louis and Florence (Bouthot) Cloutier. He attended Rumford schools, graduating from Stephens High School in 1961.

On, Nov. 9, 1963, he married Sally Deanis in Rumford; she died on June 9, 2002.

He worked at Corey’s Oil as a deliveryman and later as service technician until he was 54.

He was a member of the Dixfield Sportsman’s Club and enjoyed the outdoors, and hunting and fishing.

He is survived by a son, Ernie Cloutier and his wife, Gena, of Dixfield; a daughter, Sherry Tidswell and her fianc, Greg Clark of Dixfield; five grandchildren, Bethany and Justin Tidswell, Chase Clark, and Brandyn and Joel Cloutier; mother-in-law, Eleanor Ames of Mexico; and four sisters, Rena Fitzmorris of Mexico, Jeannine Thornton of Rumford Point, Faylene Philbrick of Rumford and Sandra Haller of Brunswick.

He was predeceased by his parents.
