Congratulations to Androscoggin Head Start and Child Care as it celebrates 40 years of service to children and families throughout Androscoggin County. We are truly fortunate to have such an exemplary program in this community.

For 40 years, Androscoggin Head Start and Child Care has provided a full circle of services to young children and their parents. Year after year, dedicated teachers and staff have prepared countless children for kindergarten, provided health screenings and healthy meals, and empowered parents to be the best possible advocates for their children. Officials of our local Head Start program, Estelle Rubenstein and her dedicated staff, deserve our praise and gratitude for their long-term and continued care and education of our youngest citizens.

Certainly any public school system contemplating a universal preschool program would be wise to align themselves with our local Head Start, an already established and proven preschool program of the highest standards.
