NORWAY – M. Gloria Michaud, 81, of Norway, formerly of Falmouth died Friday, Oct. 21, at Sedgewood Commons after a long illness.
She was born April 14, 1924, in Portland, a daughter of Everett and Annie Bragdon Hatcher and graduated from Deering High School.
She worked for the law office of Louis and Sumner Bernstein, the Teamsters Union Local 340, and the state of Maine judicial system as a legal secretary for many years.
She married Raynold A. Michaud of Fort Kent on Feb. 5, 1955. He died Oct. 14, 2001.
She enjoyed traveling to Florida and Arizona in her camper in the winter. She also enjoyed flea-marketing, antiques, gardening and playing bridge, but most of all reading. She always said, “Whatever you read in life, no one can ever take away from you.”
She enjoyed her four grandchildren and they kept her life full of joy.
Survivors include a sister, Beverly Cooper, of Falmouth; a brother, Robert Hatcher of St. Petersburg, Fla.; a son, Anthony R. Michaud of Saco and his wife, Sharon; four grandchildren, Anthony M., Christian J., Lucas J., and Julia M. Michaud, all of Saco; as well as many nieces and nephews.
