Dear Sun Spots Column Readers: The Great TV Auction is under way.

We are very busy here at Maine Public Broadcasting preparing for next April’s event. Donations are beginning to pour in, and now we need your help.

If you have a few hours each week to help with typing, warehousing or preparing mailings, we would love to hear from you. The typing, mostly envelopes and some forms, must be done at Maine Public Broadcasting, 1450 Lisbon St., Lewiston from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays. There is probably enough for two to three hours a week. We would like volunteers to start as soon as possible and work with us through the winter season. Our auction staff will provide training. Please contact Pam Smart in the Volunteer Office at (800) 884-1717, extension 3008, or e-mail [email protected]. Thank you! – P. Smart, Lewiston.

Dear Sun Spots: I received a poem written by Laurence Craig-Green (the poet from Orland) and met him at Cumberland Fair. I meant to return and purchase a book, but didn’t make it. I have searched the Web site to purchase his books, to no avail. Can you or a reader help? Thanks. – J.K., Norway.

Answer: You can purchase his books at: Poet Tree Press, P.O. Box 74, Orland, ME 04472 or at Eden Rising, 39 Cottage St., Bar Harbor, ME 04609, (207) 288-1124 or via the Web at www.edenrising.com. The store is open daily from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. The Web site listsThe Longing,” a collection of poems that span 25 years as well as “The Angel,” about the coming of an angel. A brief biography posted online at Eden Rising, notes Craig-Green writes because he must. Each poem is a gift, a moment suspended in time, a feeling captured on a piece of paper, a thought with which the heart and mind and soul can share. Craig-Green reflects upon himself as one of God’s secretaries taking down dictation, or some explorer discovering the obvious, the things that everyone else already knew, but that he didn’t.

Dear Sun Spots: Is there a place in the general area of Lewiston-Auburn that repairs briefcases etc.? I need a latch repaired or replaced on my briefcase. – R. G., Mason Twp.
