LEWISTON – Ethel L. Curtis, 87, of South Paris and formerly of Mechanic Falls, died Oct. 25, at d’Youville Pavilion surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in San Antonio, Texas, on Nov. 19, 1917, the daughter of the late Hazel McKaskle and George Summerlin.

She is survived by her daughters, JoAnne Brown and her husband, Ronald, of Orange City, Fla., Gail Goddard of Sun City, Ariz., Jill Ripley of Portsmouth, N.H., and Kristen Loring and her husband, Jon, of Mechanic Falls; 13 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband, Roland S. Curtis; and a son, Roland B. Curtis.
