This is in response to Carmen Fillmore’s letter (Sept. 25) about the person begging at the Auburn exit of the Maine Turnpike.

I, too, have seen him there numerous times. I have no problem with him there, but I feel he is holding the wrong sign. He should have a sign that says “Welcome.”

He is as pretty a sight as those waterfalls that the city has spent so much money on.
