LEWISTON – Slipknot, the rap-metal band known for its outrageous face masks, has canceled its stop in Lewiston.
The band was scheduled to perform at the Colisee on Nov. 3 as part of its nationwide Subliminal Verses Tour.
The show’s promoters, Tea Party Concerts of Portland, announced Friday that the show is off. A spokeswoman for Tea Party said she did not know the reason for the last-minute cancellation.
People who bought tickets in advance can get a full refund wherever they made their purchase.
Hailing from Des Moines, Iowa, Slipknot members started wearing their trademark Halloween masks to appear semi-anonymous onstage. Members of the nine-piece band refer to each other only by the numbers zero through eight, with one numeral assigned to each member.
