Society meeting
PERU – The Historical Society will meet from 6:30 to 8 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 1, at the Rockemeka Grange Hall in Peru Center. Special guest Len Greaney of Rumford Center will speak on the veterans buried in the River Valley area from the Revolutionary War to World War II. He will have his laptop computer available for anyone who is interested in locating more information. The public is invited. For more information, call Robert Dolloff at 562-7141.
Food chain
RUMFORD – St. Athanasius and St. John School is sponsoring a food drive for the local food pantry at 8 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 1. Students and parishioners will form a line from the school to the church and pass along canned or boxed goods. The food chain will be followed by a Mass celebrating All Saints Day.
