LEWISTON – Clifton A. “Thompy” Thompson, 68, of Empire Road, Poland, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 29, at Central Maine Medical Center after a long illness.
He was born on March 25, 1937, in Poland, the son of Albert and Hazel (Walker) Thompson.
Thompy worked for Poland Spring Water for many years, and the Poland Highway Department until his retirement in 1990 due to declining health.
He enjoyed watching NASCAR racing and going fishing.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 45 years, Ida Thompson of Poland; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Thompy was predeceased by his parents; sister, Louise Frank; and brother, Francis Walker.
