BETHEL – The Bethel Historical Society will celebrate Newry’s 200th anniversary of incorporation, which took place on June 15, 1805, on Thursday, Nov. 10.

Earlier this year, during Newry’s celebration, the society opened an exhibit in its Robinson House, providing insight into the town’s history. There will be a slide show with views of Newry people, buildings and vistas beginning at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 10.

Following this portion of the program, there will be a panel of people with Newry ties who will discuss their memories. Anyone with Newry ties is invited to attend and bring photos and other memorabilia. Anyone wishing to serve on the panel should let the society know by calling 824-2908 or (800) 824-2910.
