FARMINGTON – A benefit choir concert, “My Cup Runneth Over,” featuring the combined choirs of Henderson Memorial Baptist Church and Trinity United Methodist Church, will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 6, at Henderson Memorial Baptist Church on Academy Street.
There is no admission charge, but an offering will be taken, with proceeds to go to the Farmington Area Ecumenical Ministry’s fuel assistance fund. The fund was set up last year to help people in need to keep their homes warm. The need this year is expected to be even greater.
Choir directors Sandra Hoyt of Trinity and Dan Woodward of Henderson have planned an evening of inspiring music featuring some old favorites and some newer songs. Each choir will perform separately and they will combine as a huge super-choir.
“In helping our neighbors this way, we emphasize the theme of one of the anthems to be sung by the combined choirs that we are serving God most when we are serving others,” Woodward said. “In the words of Jesus, what you have done for the least of my children, you have done for me’,” he added.
All are welcome. For more information, call Hoyt at 778-3653 or Woodward at 778-4572.
