MEXICO – The Mexico Congregational Church, United Church of Christ, will hold the annual Christmas fair, known in the River Valley as “Christmas at the Green,” from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 5.
The “Green Church,” 163 Main St., plans it’s usual “big doings” with a huge bake sale, raffles, a Chinese auction, breakfast and lunch, all downstairs in the dining room area.
Upstairs there will be homemade crafts, including handmade baskets, sewn and knitted goods, all kinds of crafts and a room full of books and puzzles.
Outside on the front lawn, George Kimball will have assembled several old-fashioned cider presses and the folks out there will make apple cider to buy by the quart or gallon.
A Kids Kraft and make-your-own Christmas present room will be new this year where little ones can work with Sue Gould and others making things.
The church will offer its turkey supper with all the fixings at 5 p.m.
The cost is $7 for adults and $3 for kids.
