NEW GLOUCESTER – Selectmen relinquished several bags of candy to two trick-or-treaters who knocked at the Meeting House door in Lower Gloucester in the midst of Monday’s regular meeting.
“This is the first time this ever happened,” said board Chairman Steve Libby, who refused to give up his bag of candy.
The masked ghost and ghoul dressed in black robes got a laugh from the board when Town Manager Rosemary Kulow beckoned the pair to come forward to receive their treats.
Afterward, the pair dashed out of the building into the night.
