In the “Looking Back” column for Oct. 27, there was a story under “50 years ago, 1955” about a young boy, Forest Hodgkins, who was bitten by an escaped pet monkey.

Unfortunately, Forest was bitten later by a larger monkey that doesn’t seem to go away – war. Forest died in Vietnam shortly after graduating from Lewiston High. He was in the Class of 1965. His picture was on the board at our 40th class reunion of those who have died. He missed a lot of our lifetime. We’ve still got wars.
