TURNER – Turner Primary School’s play field and lawn were damaged over the weekend when someone drove a car over them.

Officials believe the damage occurred Friday night. The Cobb Road field is used by Tripp Middle School’s field hockey team and Primary School students, said Primary School Principal Theresa Gillis.

State police are investigating the vandalism. The school system’s grounds crews spent Monday evaluating the field and lawn. Gillis had no official cost of the damage.
