LEWISTON – The Franco American Heritage Center’s La Rencontre will meet at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 4, at the center, Oxford and Cedar streets.
The group is for anyone wishing to speak only French for two hours. The attendance has been in the range of 250 people.
This month’s gathering will be entertained by a musical trio featuring Lorraine Ouellette, accordionist; Gerry Dube, guitarist; and Adrien LeClair, mandolin and guitar.
The trio has played in the community for years, as well as at Le Festival de Joie and in numerous nursing homes.
The meal will feature “tourtiere” (meat pies), mashed potatoes, vegetable, beverage and dessert. Price for the meal and entertainment program is $6.50 a person.
