AUBURN – James Everett “Jim” Vining, 43, lived with his girlfriend, Alice Keene of Auburn, died in late September.

He was born on April 10, 1962, the son of Joyce Munroe of Hartford and Ron Vining Sr. of South Paris.

He had many lifelong friends, including Alice Marie, who he thought the world of. We knew all his good points and bad, as he knew ours. We loved him just the same and vice-versa. He is finally free of his struggles with alcohol and tobacco.

He will be sorely missed by many friends and family.

He is survived by his parents; three brothers, Ronald, Rick and Bob; three sisters, Rose Hodkin, Tina Veinott and Tammy Gauthier; two daughters, Amanda and Jamie Mae; one granddaughter; and 23 nieces and nephews.
