HERTFORD, N.C. – Michael Erik Veilleux, 34, a resident of North Cherokee Drive in Hertford, N.C., died Friday, Oct. 28, from injuries sustained in a traffic accident.

He was born on Dec. 7, 1970, in Lewiston, the son of Grace Ann (McKay) Veilleux and the late Robert “Mike” Erik Veilleux. He was a graduate of Salem High School and also attended business school in North Carolina.

In 1999, he married Dana Wood in North Carolina. He was employed as a waiter at Applebee’s Restaurant in Elizabeth City, N.C.

He is survived by his mother of Hooksett, N.H.; his wife, Dana, of Hertford, N.C.; two daughters, Allycia-Lynn Daisy Veilleux and Chelsie Elizabeth Veilleux, both of Salem, N.H.; one sister, Channon Leborgne of Hooksett, N.H.; and numerous aunts and uncles.
