MURRELLS INLET, S.C. – Regina Bernotaite Visbaras, 79, of Pawley’s Island, Georgetown County, S.C., formerly of Worcester, Mass., passed away on Sunday, Oct. 23, at Waccamaw Community Hospital in Murrells Inlet, S.C.

She was born in Lithuania on Jan. 2, 1926, the daughter of the late Juozas Bernotai and Stanislava Bukauskai. She grew up in Lithuania and was educated in public schools there.

She moved to the U.S. in 1949 and lived in Worcester, Mass., until 2002. She had recently relocated to Pawley’s Island, S.C. She was the widow of Vladas Visbaras, who passed away in November 2001.

She is survived by her three sons, Vitas Visbaras and John Visbaras, both of Pawley’s Island, S.C., and Kim Visbaras of Auburn; two grandsons, Adam Visbaras of New Bedford, Mass., and Scott Visbaras of Georgetown, S.C.; three granddaughters, Christie Visbaras of Tucson, Ariz., Lindsey Visbaras of Auburn and Jennifer Vandament of Murrells Inlet, S.C.; and three great-grandchildren.
