Articles in the Sun Journal and other media outlets inspired this letter about abortion. I often wonder, do politicians and other pro-choice advocates hear themselves when they proclaim a woman’s choice to kill an unborn boy or girl? Do medical schools feel any responsibility when doctors profit from killing unborn babies?
I am concerned about the children being raised with the idea that it is morally and ethically correct to kill the unborn.
Pope John Paul II, who had a doctorate in theology and another in philosophy, who taught standing-room-only classes in social ethics at Roman Catholic Lublin University, and who apologized for the Catholic house arrest of Galileo because he had stated that the Earth was not the center of the universe, wrote that science and faith are not contradictory as long as God is credited with the first cell, atom and breath of life. The pope also wrote in a prayer, “Do not allow us to invoke your name to justify human strife.”
