BRIDGTON – Bridgton Hospital midwife Cathy Heffernan, co-owner and midwife from Blue Moon Midwives, lectured recently at the 10th Biennial Conference: “Centering Pregnancy – A New Model of Prenatal Care” at Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor.

Heffernan has practiced midwifery for more than 25 years and is now affiliated with Bridgton Hospital. She has been practicing midwifery at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston and Rumford Hospital. She received her certificate in midwifery from Kentucky Frontier School of Nursing and Midwifery, and her master’s degree in nursing from Case Western University.
