RUMFORD – A Mass of Christian Burial for Gerard E. “Speedy” Buotte was celebrated 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 1, at St. Athanasius and St. John Catholic Church. The Rev. Angelo LeVasseur was the celebrant. Mark Belanger was the organist. Music selections were “Ave Maria” and “On Eagles Wings,” sung by Cindy Libby. Readings were done by Don Grenier and Tammy Jolin. The eulogy was offered by special friend Gloria Barnett. Honorary pallbearers were Worthy President Tim LeCour, Past Worthy President Dennis Arsenault, Past New England President Leo Couture and Past President Mark Gaudet. Pallbearers were Lewis Barnett, Mike Fitzmorris, Jim Whittemore, Charley Burt, Leo Jolin and Dale Gurney. Interment was in St. John Cemetery with committal prayers offered by Deacon Rod Berger.
