We are sickened by the letters calling for acceptance and “equal rights” for homosexuals, as though they are just victims of social intolerance – like black slaves or women who couldn’t vote. That is not true. We believe that homosexuality is a gross sin in the eyes of God.
Some have suggested that Christians have forgotten that everyone is a child of God, and that we are all to love one another. God does love homosexuals, but he hates their sins. Those who talk about who God loves should also recognize what he hates.
Those who refer to Jesus’ teachings should also note Leviticus 20:13: “If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination ….”
Homosexuality is not OK; it is a distortion of what God intended for love, marriage and the family. God ordained marriage to be one man and one woman for life, nothing else.
Those in support of homosexual rights cannot call God as their witness. Those who think God is a God of love only, and not also a God of judgment, are sorely deceived.
A true child of God would not dare to use his holy name and teachings to support something that he hates.
